Activities of the Publishing Department

The Imam Termizi International Scientific Research Center carries out the tasks defined in the Resolution No. PQ-2774 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 14, 2017, titled “On measures to establish the Imam Termizi International Scientific Research Center.”

In its activities, the Center adheres to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and relevant laws, decrees and resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, relevant decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, directives from higher authorities, sector-related regulations, as well as the Charter of the Center.

In addition, the department ensures the study, scholarly commentary, comparative editing, and publication of the works created by our great compatriot Imam Termizi—who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the science of hadith—and other Termizi scholars, as well as prominent thinkers from our country who have enriched the intellectual and spiritual heritage of Islamic civilization.

Responsibilities of the Publishing Department

In accordance with the Center’s objectives, the department ensures the timely development of its work plan and the high-quality execution of its plans and reports.

Edits and publishes books and brochures prepared by the Center.

Prepares for publication in book format the works authored by the Center’s scientific staff.

Submits materials prepared by the Center to the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Publishes books, brochures, and collections that have received a positive review from the Committee.

Monitors each published book and brochure to ensure it is verified and stamped with a hologram provided by the Committee.

Organizes presentations of books and brochures published by the Center in various regions.

Fulfills other tasks within its authority as instructed by the Center’s leadership.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Department

On behalf of the department, the head of department:

Collaborates regularly and on an equal basis with other departments of the Center to carry out assigned tasks.

Timely fulfills the instructions of the Center’s Director within the scope of their authority.

Carries out operations in accordance with legal regulations and the Charter of the Center, and fulfills the responsibilities assigned to the department.

Defines the level of responsibility for the department’s research staff as outlined in job descriptions.

The head of the department supervises the overall activities of the department and is responsible for the timely execution of all duties assigned to it.
