The Information Resource Center holds a collection of over 2,000 publications across various fields. These materials cover a broad range of topics, including encyclopedias, religious and spiritual works, philosophical and political writings, legal sources, as well as publications in pedagogy, ethnography, linguistics, literary studies, and various historical collections. These books are valuable not only in quantity but also in content and scientific significance. They serve as an important resource for students, teachers, and researchers to enhance knowledge, achieve spiritual development, and conduct new research.
In addition, the center’s collection includes over 100 manuscripts and lithographic works. These ancient sources pertain to Quranic and Hadith sciences, theology, Islamic jurisprudence, Sufism, literature, and history. These manuscripts and lithographs are of great scholarly importance for deeply studying national spiritual heritage, conducting source-based research, and analyzing Islamic legal and philosophical doctrines.
Department Responsibilities:
– Oversees the daily operations of the library at the center;
– Ensures continuous functioning of the library and submits requests for new publications to enrich the library’s collection;
– Maintains a catalog of all existing books;
– Manages the preservation and restoration of manuscripts and lithographs, expands the collection by purchasing new manuscripts from the public, regularly updates the catalog of these works, and keeps records of users accessing them;
– Continuously improves the operation of the Information Resource Center in line with the development of information and communication technologies and current global trends;
– Expands cooperation with internet resources specializing in the distribution of e-books to increase the efficiency of library services and the speed of service to users;
– Ensures the security of information-library institutions and the proper preservation of library collections as part of national and world cultural heritage;
– Promotes the development of information culture in society, increases interest in national history and culture, and promotes a culture of reading;
– Updates the center’s library with newly published books and prepares their digital versions.
