The International Research Center of Imam Termizi was established in accordance with the Resolution No. PQ-2774 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated February 14, 2017, titled “On Measures for the Establishment of the International Research Center of Imam Termizi.”
The main objectives of the Center are as follows:
– To deeply study and widely promote the true essence of Islam, the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and Hadith, the scholarly and spiritual foundations of the Hadith tradition, and the legacy of Imam Termizi, other scholars from Termez, and great thinkers from our homeland;
– To systematically research sources that reflect high humanistic ideals and sacred values, and based on these, to develop educational materials, textbooks, popular publications, and practical recommendations for use in religious education and spiritual-moral upbringing;
– In today’s world, where ideological challenges are increasing, to deeply study the spiritual heritage of our ancestors, convey their noble teachings and ideas to the general public, and thereby foster a healthy worldview among youth, educating them in the spirit of loyalty to our timeless values;
– To establish cooperation with foreign research institutions and international organizations in order to study and widely promote the rich legacy of Imam Termizi and other scholars from Termez; to organize international conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, scientific lectures, seminars, trainings, competitions, and other cultural and educational events;
– To collect and carry out research on manuscript and lithographic works of Termezian scholars and great thinkers preserved in libraries and manuscript collections in both Uzbekistan and foreign countries;
– To develop research and recommendations for the effective use of modern information and communication technologies and scientific achievements in the study of our spiritual heritage.
– As of today, the International Research Center of Imam Termizi employs 10 research staff members, including 4 scholars holding academic degrees in Islamic studies and source studies.
The Center includes the following departments:

– International Relations and Pilgrimage Tourism Development Department
– Information Resource Center
– Information Technology and Multimedia Department
– Publications Department
Research Department. The main goal of the Research Department is to thoroughly study the rich spiritual heritage of the great scholar and compatriot, Abu Isa Termizi (Imam Termizi), and other Termezian scholars who significantly contributed to the development of Islam. It also aims to widely promote the fact that our sacred land has historically been a cradle of great scholars and saints, both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, it focuses on preserving and developing national and religious values, and on educating the younger generation in the spirit of noble ideals and love and devotion to the Motherland.
International Relations and Pilgrimage Tourism Development Department. The main goal of this department is to promote the study and dissemination of the legacy of Imam Termizi and Termezian scholars by establishing partnerships with foreign research centers and international organizations. It organizes international conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, scientific lectures, seminars, trainings, competitions, and other cultural and educational events.
Information Technology and Multimedia Department. This department aims to promote the spiritual heritage of our ancestors to the general public through the effective use of modern information and communication technologies. The department regularly publishes articles, videos, audio recordings, and infographics about the life and legacy of Imam Termizi, Termezian scholars, and thinkers from the region of Mawarannahr on the Center’s official website (www.termiziy.uz) and on social media platforms. Currently, a media studio equipped with all necessary resources and facilities is operating in the department.
Publications Department. The main task of the Publications Department is to edit and prepare for publication the books and brochures on the life and legacy of Imam Termizi and other scholars of Mawarannahr written by the Center’s researchers. The department also prepares and edits theses, articles, and news items for mass media.
