Activities of the department of international relations and pilgrimage tourism development
The Imam Termizi International Scientific Research Center implements the tasks defined in the Resolution No. PQ-2774 dated February 14, 2017, of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan titled “On measures to establish the Imam Termizi International Scientific Research Center.”
The Center, in its activities, adheres to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and relevant laws in the field, decrees and resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, relevant decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, instructions from higher authorities, guidelines related to the sector, as well as the Center’s Charter.
The Center ensures the implementation of documents adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Investments, the Ministry of Economy, other ministries, and state committees under the control of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding international relations and international economic cooperation.
Responsibilities of the department of international relations and pilgrimage tourism development:
Reviews and coordinates documents of representatives from the Imam Termizi Scientific Research Center who are sent on foreign trips, in accordance with relevant documents of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, and recommendations from other organizations.
Organizes seminars, roundtable discussions, and other events for the Center’s professors, scholars, and scientific staff in cooperation with other departments of the Center.
Prepares, reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations on agreements, contracts, and protocols concluded with foreign partners.
Cooperates with Uzbekistan’s embassies abroad, foreign embassies operating in Uzbekistan, international organizations, funds, national cultural centers, representations, and religious denominations to assist in organizing international conferences, symposiums, scientific seminars, and other scientific-practical events in priority areas of the Center’s activities.
Recommends grant competitions announced by foreign partners for internships and professional development to the Center’s professors, scholars, and scientific staff.
Collects information about internationally held events, conferences, and seminars, and informs the Center’s departments.
Provides information in foreign languages about international conferences, symposiums, scientific seminars, and other scientific-practical events held at the Center for publication on the Center’s website.
Translates incoming foreign-language letters and information received by the Center.
